I picked up a QA42A thrower last night, and eventhough it's 96* outside today I couldn't resist hooking it up (plus it's easier to get into the back shed that way. I will restore it later in the summer when the temps are a bit cooler. It was complete with everything but a drive belt, and everything spun nicely and had no excess play. Not a bad $80 find.

You should go rent a snow making machine so you can properly test it out. Your neighbors would probably break out the straight jacket.

I wonder how a freshly fluffed hay field would do?

Took the tunnel cover off of the 1811. Everything looked pretty clean, (not much oil) except for a little dirt and grass.

While I had the tunnel off, I looked at the rockshaft to try to figure out how the sleeve hitch lift bar will attach. But still not sure, does anyone have pictures of how it would attach?

got rained out for work today so i finally have some well needed cub time in the shop. i started by doing some tire swappin. i had the brandnew tru powers on my 1650 which is enginless right now so i decided to put the trupowers on the 169 and took the ags from the 169 and put on the 128. i'm really loving the new look for both tractors. now off to work on different cub projects. woohoo love rainy days.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
