My 104 Today
Big Day.............
104 finished today and mower deck going on this weekend. Gone thru front to back and engine, trans, steering, electrical, totally serviced. Sandblasted and painted. She is refurbished; not restored. That means I plan on using her and she still looks good enough to show in a parade. Here are a few pics before, during, and after. Steve |

I've always said, "It's your Cub, do what you want to it." People must double take when they first see it? Or maybe a triple take? I like it. Nik

Appreciate
Thanks for the kind remarks.....the white engine is due to having 1/2 gallon of white paint left over and a small tribute to the white Kohler engine on my Dad's 68' Sears Suburban he bought new.

Everyone out for a Saturday stroll
I have been meaning for awhile to get everyone out of storage. I finally put the 1650 back together last week after some maintenance. I lined everyone, so i could send a picture to my grandfather. He either found, gave me all the cub cadets and one of the cubs. So closest is a 129 he gave me, the 1450 he gave to me (so he could be another cadet), the 1650 he found, the Farmall Cub is his, he has willed to my son (again i picked up, so he could buy another cub cadet), and the last farmall cub is my wife's. We restored that one together. It was her Grandfather's. The other picture is my latest purchase. It is a yanmar 155D.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
