Default serial number Id

these are the only numbers I can find on the places that people are showing me and I know it may be hard to read but that is still it, 1 576 4, is all there is. I have used a wire wheel and a drill to take the paint down to where if there was somrthing covered up I would be able to tell. I dont know I guess I should just quit worring about it for now. Its not gonna be restored tomorrow or anything. It does make it easier to order things for it though when u know what you have. I really appreciate the help.

Default Information

Well I just wanted to say thanks for all the help. I am definately new to all this So I appreciate it a bunch. I have my cub down to a rolling frame and can't wait to start sanding and repainting it. I plan on keeping this and passing it on to my son.

Default pics of my origional

I took frame apart sanded it down and primed it. looks ok considering what it looked like before. If anyone has any ideas how to get the bolt out of the front axle let me know cause I have used everything but a torch to get it out. Thinking about leaving it alone but the axle piviots with the bolt not on the bolt and I am sure that will just eventually tear up the holes that are made for the bolt. I am a long way away but it will get there!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
