I bought some 23x8.50 Tru Powers for my 100 yesterday. I need to get some wheels painted for them and get them mounted. I'll post some pics when I get them on.

Got one of those 'Hitchin' Post' attachments for the drawbar. It has two prongs on the outside edge for hooking up chains or rope for pulling, has a top mount for a ball hitch, and a regular hole for lawn carts, etc.
Very well constructed, worth the money for sure., Now I can tow around the trailer, making all this lawn cleanup so much easier. Had a bonfire yesterday with all the scrap lumber I hauled out of the woods with the 2186 the other day. Then got on a kick with pruning trees and got rid of lots of hanging branches that I've had to swat out of my way this mowing season. The Cub has been great for all this work. Haulin concrete blocks, dragging the huge wooden trash cage that previous house owners left for me, pulling fallen stumps and trees. Here's a pic right before dark (that's why the bad quality, phone doesn't like low light shots) using the Hitchin Post for the first time. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
