Wow thank you guy's for all the kind remarks.

I know some of you have many tractor's and in tip top shape so telling me my old iron looks great means a lot. This was my grandfathers old tractor. I have pictures of me at 3 years old on it and now I have pictures of my son at 3 years old on it. Too cool. I did add a creeper and light's too it and it has a 38" deck but that's all. I used to plow snow all around the neighborhood when I was a kid. Great memories.

I'll have to take some more pictures and sent them in for potw your right.

Thanks
John

That's real cool that it was your granddad's tractor, and you used it as a youngster, and now you have it for your young'un to enjoy also.
Make some new memories with it and have fun.

My Daughter is 26 and every time she comes to the house, she wants to drive one of the Cubs around. It's funny, when shes driving one of them around, she can't make her face not smile.

I would have done the same thing when I was a kid, but now sometimes I'll walk 250 feet down to the shed, to drive one out to get the mail and the mailbox is less than 100 feet from my door.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
