Thanks. A man can't beat free especially with attachments! My first one I love it. Beats the new one I bought a few years back.

I have had mine a couple of weeks and love it. It does a much better job mowing than my old MTD. Be careful though its an addiction. I am already on the lookout for another one.

oh im definitely hooked already!. I didn't know IH made this until a few months back when I seen and ask about this one. Its made out of metal instead of partial plastic like the new one. I've already cracked the plastic hood on the LTX 1048!

I mowed for an hour and a half last night. My back didn't hurt and the yard looks even and nice.

New Cub
Picked up a project yesterday.
129 cub. Engine is in pieces but all there. Rest of the tractor looks pretty good. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
