international 682 001.jpgPicked up a IH built 682 Friday night. Got into it over the weekend. New battery & fresh gas it runs strong. Going to give her new fuel lines & carb rebuild. Changed hydro fluid & filter Saturday. The original kt-1 was replaced at some point with a new kt-2 . Compression test showed 100 psi at both cylinders. The hydro is stronger than my 782s don't know if it has anything to do with it being a cast rear but I was real surprised. Going to take it to my mountain place & put it back to work cutting grass.

I saw that on CL,originally it was 150.00 then 350,then 200,not sure it was the real deal so I gave up.
Did you put the ags and deck on it?
Congrats that a fellow cubber got it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
