Default My Custom Model 72

Fired off the 72 this morning, and took it around the property line with my morning coffee. Our 5 acre parcel joins up on two sides with our neighbor's 400 acre farm preserve.

This 72 starts on a half crank revolution!

Allen, yamachuck, and DeltaCub;

Thanks! This 72 is taking over snow plow duty from my 1450!

yamachuck, I happen to be a 125 fan too! Your's looks great with the windbreaker cab. Looks like you put a fresh coat of paint on too!

Yes I did put a fresh coat on her. I had put a newer motor in late winter and with that I freshened everything up. Tri rib front tires rebuilt clutch. And swapped the front axle from a 129 donor tractor. I also had to rework the factory hydraulic lift. Spring broke and mulled the gears. That took some change out of my pocket. But I do enjoy these old tractors. Great site I enjoy looking at everyone's else's projects. My 100 with hydraulic lift

Default Model 72 with IH 56" snow blade

Got the custom IH snow blade all welded up, and put on the custom model 72! The IH blade extensions did not really line up with the nice 42"IH, but I'm super happy, and don't see why this rig won't work!!!

Still a few things to do to have this set up ready!

Have a great day guys!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
