No, they are not any more "complicated". Just more sensitive.

I will ad, that I agree keeping the Hz under control is important, but as long as you understand what you have, it shouldn't be an issue. No different than the old Pincore units, or a tractor driven PTO generator.
Basically what I was thinking also. I could not imagine Pincor telling people they needed to move a spring on their governor arm to use the gen set. The one thing I was thinking is the extra horsepower "I know it's only 1" might aid in this also. Little less drag so maybe will recover a little quicker. Anyway, like I said , I could see this being an issue if I were running full 5500 watts to my fridge, 65" plasma, and computer. I promise you all, it will never be used by me in that way. If I ever sell it, it will come with a stern warning.

By the way Jon. None of this really matters right? Because I just like to post and this project will never get done, right? Because I'm just a show off with a bunch of fancy tools that I dont know how to use, right? Well, the tools are not all that fancy. 2 of the lathes are older than me but they work great and i know how to use them to the tune of almost 30 years. You asked me can i taper and if i have a taper attachment. I do, but i also have about 5 other ways i could have tapered that shaft. Point is, just because you dont know a person has a skill doesn't mean they dont. Don't bother asking me any more questions regarding what I can or can't do. Answering questions to boost your ego is not a prerequisite of this forum.

I have deleted the Crap Banter. I am also closing the thread. It has gone beyond being educational to a rant session.

Jonathan and Bill take your "disagreements" to the private arena (PM or e-mail).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
