Oil pans, plus most other parts for the engines that have been discussed in the last 30 posts are like sand on the beach. I truly don't understand why this discussion has gone on so long. I wish good luck to get a mission accomplished, what ever that is, and I respectively bow out.

Default Dietary choices...

Hey Ironman.. May I suggest a little more bran added to your diet. Your crankiness is running off mentors that I need and truly appreciate. Its my nearly dead horse that you're beating. Thanks, Carpetbagger

To take Ironman's side ....
It's an easy to get part that is not expensive. You could spend your time with other tinkering or repairs.

On your side....
You've received numerous ideas on a repair. How you wish to proceed is up to you.

Certain parts are extremely hard to come by or "wallet busting" expensive if they can be found. It's my opinion that those are the ones you spend the extra effort into finding or rebuilding.

Good luck in whatever direction you wish to proceed

Jeff

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
