To make it easier cleaning under the deck without removing it from the CC, consider getting a mower/atv jack. Harbor Freight sells them, model 62493, for $80 after coupon discount. I took this photo before setting the foot brake and chocking the rear wheels.

Thanks for the HF lift photo. I have been considering. I currently use auto ramps under the front wheels and lay on the ground. The wind seems to always be blowing the grass in the eyes as I stretch to reach the middle of the 54" deck.

You guys are friggin hilarious. I'm an engineer, so the wind at yer back thing reminds me of an engineering joke: F = mA, but you can't push a rope.

You rope comment bring back 60++ year memories.
Back when dirt was new and God was a boy, I was at work one morning. We were going to do some rigging and in them days it was chainfall & chains. ho lifting cranes or man lifts, it was ladders. So my cantankerous old boss says why are dragging that chain? I said "well it is too heavy to lift and I tried pushing it and it didn't work" He, using all his strength to keep a straight face, turned away and said nothing. The seasoned fellows said to me, they never seen the old man at a loss for words. |

Well I finally got my hydro lift fixed and mowed my 2/3rd acre lot today for the first time in about a month. Grass/weeds/ etc... were almost a foot tall in spots. Tested this here water sprayer thing out with the engine runnin' and blades spinnin'. Pulled her in the shop, let her dry and jacked the front end up. I'll be damned, looks like it did what it's supposed to did. Pretty clean under there as far as I could tell. Time and more water will tell the whole story tho...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
