Wow, good to see we're getting more Hoosiers lately. Between a good hunting season and holding politicians feet to the fire, I haven't had much time for OCC, or my cubs for some time. I'm still over here on the Deleware/Henry county line.
Spent some time in the fall dialing in the plow in a couple acres of garden. Now that spring is coming, I remember I need to rebuild the PTO on the 109. Slipped belt wrapped around the PTO and caused a catastrophic explosion of parts. What I could find was broken or damaged. Hope you all had a good winter. Looking forward to warmer weather and spending some quality time with the tractors.

Just in case anybody is still watching this one, I'm in LaGrange county, about 35 miles north of Ft. Wayne. We've got a pretty nice steam & gas show here in mid August that usually has a strong showing of garden tractors.

Ah-ha! Another Hoosier, like myself....though my whereabouts are unknown currently, I am reported to be in Ohio by some sources--but not all sources are correct! Glad you are on board with the forum and hope you enjoy your cubs and the Small Engine Show in Portland, Indiana this year!

Fort Wayne, born and raised!! Moved near Dayton for about 2 years and decided I wanted to come home and I don't plan to leave again!!!
Man... We should start a farm with all these Hoosier cubs! It would really be a sight to see 40-50 Cub Cadets with tillers and plows working 1000 acres!!! I'll bring 2!!! ...I bet I could talk my Dad into getting his 2 going again for something that cool... So.. I'm in for 4 (NF x2, WF x2)!!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
