Mike B, Nick, DieselDoctor: Thanks guys! It's a keeper for sure!

Todd Z: It's always good chatting with you too! Stay warm buddy, it's freakin cold up there!!

Randy: Thanks! I'll keep that in mind! You keeping busy??

Oak: I saved the site. Was going to PM you to find out where you get parts. I really would like to save the Onan. They were a power house, and had more HP than IH advertised. I'm a H-opposed fan. Plenty of torque.

George: The kids seem to be adjusting well. The wife, she still a little upset about the whole deal. Says she understands, but thinks they should be able to at least sleep in the house.
(All in good fun guys.)

Sam: I know that the Tru Powers are the "king" tire, but this will be a garden worker, and plow tractor. Watched too many guys with those huge tires trying to cram them in a dead furrow.... they just don't fit. I'd rather go with a narrower tire and dual it if I need more traction. That's why I was considering going the route Tim C did. I have plenty of rims for duals, and a lathe to make more dual adapters.

Randy: Here is a link to the thread on Tim's tractor. Unfortunately he sold it, and this was all he gave us about the build. I never got to see it, but it he did a great job!!

Mike: I agree. I have a triple spool that I can use. Bought it for the same project I got the D600 for, but the valves are fairly easy to come by, so I may use it. I also have a 318 Deere that needs to go from dual to triple spool... I better get on ebay and start looking!
No side panels or grille, but I have extra ones of those. I do have all the engine tins though!!

I also got a pretty rough 50" deck with the tractor. I don't know if it's salvageable or not......

Nice catch! Keeping the Onan would be great, but the world is ready for a diesel 982 build!

Terry, I really want to try and save the Onan. But, if I can't I have options.

I dunno Lew.... Master Baker imply's a whole nother job field, lol. No, it didn't come with the grille or side panels, but I have extras of both. Yeah... this one is going to be a big project. Parts round up is in the works. It's gonna be a few month fix.

Oh yeah Randy.... plenty of job security where you are.

NICE. Can't wait to see what and or how your project is going to go. I have the firestone 26X12X12 on my 2084 and do not dare to spin them. If I do they make a foot wide furrow. BTW the cold weather caught up to us on the building while waiting on the overhead door to arrive.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
