I think my favorite to see would be a 1468 with dual stacks on it. I am consumed by the 2+2 idea though. When it says IH, you can't go wrong.

Keep up the good work and please keep us some pictures posted!

Maddog, I am 98% sure I'm going to build a 1468 for myself. I've found a twin Briggs and Stratton that I'll use for the engine, and I'm going to use a 129 that I already have, for the chassis.

I'm really excited about it. My 826 is nice, but it isn't an example of what I'm building now. It has quite a few flaws that drive me nuts. Most people don't see them, but I do.

I'll post some pictures of the build once I get rolling on it.

Kurt

I know how that is. I work on details that nobody would notice. However, when the job is done, I know that I did it as best I could. It is the attention to those details that makes a good project great. I can see from your pictures that you don't let too much slide. I am stoked about the V-twin idea. My father used to have an old Wisconsin V-4. That would be the cat's meow - especially if it was dressed up like a 1468.

Keep up the good work!

Nate

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
