Looks great Dwayne! That's my favorite year of 73 . What month was is built? Can't wait to see it after you guys get it fixed up.

The serial number indicates mid to late Feb.

While I was getting a picture of the battery box I went ahead and removed those hideous PO added rear fenders and found another PO mod to the steering.





The seat looks pretty rough, don't know if I can straighten this one out or not. Really dented up bad around the sides and rear.




The steering "FIX"




A PO has pryed something up in the creeper slot and slightly messed up the metal. Also is that small hole below the creeper breather hole supposed to be there?


Starting to look a bit more like a 73

That seat isn't original, so if you are concerned about originality, I wouldn't worry about straightening it. That extra hole in the tunnel cover is not supposed to be there; that would be easy to weld up, and the creeper slot can be straightened. That air cleaner is wrong, too, BTW.

You could probably drill out the spot welds that hold on the battery box and make a new box.

I was thinking the seats were solid? The one on it now seems fairly solid just ugly, but I am pretty positive it will have a padded cover on the seat.

Yeah, I will weld that hole up then if not needed and get the slot straightened too. I knew as soon as I looked at the air cleaner it was way too BIG, lol. I think Patton Acres has the correct 7hp breather with the base.
