Default Thanks for sharing this with us

Your picture tour was a great ride and I am sure we all appreciate your effort for sharing it with us. As usual Extreme turns out beautiful pieces. I have ordered several items from them and know how good the cuts and welds are. I too had problems with the holes on my sleeve hitch bracket for the rear cover. They were off and were a little too tight with paint on them. I did as you did and reamed them out a little and all went together after that. I wonder what the variance between models and model numbers is. Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry I haven't finished my post the holidays have been hectic.

I had some requested for measurements so here are some pictures. This is not the full range of the lift because the multi configuration allows for several possibilities this is just my current set up.

Default Float/Down Pressure issues

With the stock set up from Xtreme on a 2284 you will have 0% down pressure becuase of the long float slot see picture.

I sent an email to Aaron at Xtreme and he quickly answered with a few options. He was great and did not make excuses or try to sell me something. His design is based on the OEM design so the float is a stock set up. He mentioned a prototype float block he was trying and offered to sell me one. I purchased the float block, painted it flat black and installed it and now I have 100% down pressure. If I need to float I just remove the block. Here are some pictures of the float block set up.

I think MattG has posted the weight capacity of each type of lift on a sticky thread. If I understand correctly the cat 0 lift has a higher capacity than the sleeve hitch. As far as xtreme vs stock I think Aaron builds his stuff extra heavy duty to meet or exceed OEM.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
