Well, it's been a while since I have posted some updates on the 982, but I did manage to get some parts painted today. Yesterday, I cleaned up the brake pads, all of the hydraulic lift mounts and cylinder, and all of the rockshafts. Shot a coat of primer on them this morning. Checked them tonight, and they came out pretty well. I had enough paint left in the gun to shoot primer on the tunnel cover, so I pulled it in and completed it.









I should have taken some shots of the frame put together, but I didn't get to it. Once these get the red paint, they will be installed on the frame and the whole thing will get a coat of red with hardener. Following this, the dash tower, front grille, panels, hood, and fender panels will be painted individually and added to the tractor. I am currently looking at trying to pick up some V61s for the front and find some decent tires for the back - I have seen the Carlisles, but does anyone have any suggestions on other types?

I like carlisle tru power ags. I've had good performances from them and I have 2 different sizes. They also look cool and are made in the USA. They even have an American flag molded on the sidewall

I was thinking about something other than the Carlisles, but with the American flag on the side and being made in the good 'ole USA, I think my dad would be ashamed of me if I passed those up!

Does anybody know where to find bearings for the front wheels? I am going to dismantle them and re-do them, new tires, paint, valve stems, might as well do bearings.

Check out Miller tire online store thye have a good selection there. THe bearing can be found at your dealer or take your old bearing to a bearing supply house and get them cheap. I always ask for USA made bearings.

Bob we have forum rules that apply to everyone. You wasn't being scolded I was reminding you of the rules just like we do for everyone.
