Some of the JD's can be tough to even FIND the parts for them. My father ran into that, part of the reason I started looking into cubs.

I guess I would go with Sears, older ones. Right now Im kinda lookin around for a good Super A. I wanted to get some Cubs & As but the Cadets are cheaper, there are lots to pick from and they take up less space in storage; plus, I dont mind a little custom work to a Cadet but it would seem to go against my grain to paint a Cub or an A some wild colors! and hot rod em a bit.

Old school pre-1980.... I like the looks of the MF GTs, they had that look of the big MF tractors. There's quite a few I like, but there's only 1 Cub!

If money was no option, probably a Steiner or Ventrac.

I have some Sears Suburbans, some Sears Custom 10xl's and a Ford 8n, I like them all but will never give up my Cubs. Suburban's have a sickle bar mower which is pretty cool and I use the 8n with a back blade to clear the snow in the winter. They all are set up for a specific job, any day I can spend on a tractor is a good day.

If not a an older Cadet, then I' have a newer REAL Deere, not the kind you get from a big box store. They certainly have the best dealer support and resale.
