Thanks Todd, I got my book back today and saw the breakdown, Thanks again.
Found an older seat out in the shed and thought, better than the one that's on the 782 now. So I wire wheeled and DA'd the seat and threw some paint on it. Turned out ok
Also figured I needed to clean up the deck. So began by cleaning out the old clippings and spraying nuts and bolts with PB. Tomorrow I'll pull the spindles and clean out the old grease and check everything over and see what it looks like inside.

While working on the deck today I was looking at the floorboard rubbers and seeing they are shot, I thought why no put on a couple old style floorboards.
Took them off the parts 1250 and wire wheeled them and put on some paint.
Big improvement over the raggy ones

Decided the other day to dig into the 782 and fix those things that need it, and do a good cleaning of everything else.
Started by removing the hood, side panels and rear fenders, then thought the grill shell might as well go to.
This tractor came to me with a remote oil filter kit, and it was attached on top of the muffle box. I didn't think it was a good idea, and it looks like crap even though it looks like it's been there for some time. So I called my dealer buddy to get me a "non-filter cover" to put it back to original, and get rid of the remote unit. I wouldn't of minded keeping it, but there just isn't room for it. He (dealer) called someone he knows at the Kohler headquarters and was told that the "non-filter cover" was a NA item, but he would look around and if he could find one he'd send it up. Well he found one and sent it up! Best part, it's a FREEBIE!
I also see that the rear axle seal is leaking as well as the top cover on the diff. And the trunion needs some repair as well. So I ordered both axle seals right away as well as the trunion springs end caps and rear cover gasket, but the top cover gasket is NA, so I'll have to make one I guess.
Everything should be in next week, so we'll have to pick up some more Hy-Tran and another hydraulic filter, and get er' done.
So today figuring I need to clean all the oil and grease off before I start to take things apart for repair, I had a brain fart to preasure wash the tractor. It was a balmy 28* here this morning, but the sun was bright and warm (as you can see by the ice sickles) Well here we are, wet and cold to the bone, but the tractor is clean and ready for it's new parts.
picture overload!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
