My best machine is also the one I am on at the moment. I love the "O" for the memories that flood back of my dad's "O" and what we put that little machine through. My 102 which was the first cub I bought and it lasted till the present through what I put it through and lasted through 2 sons trying to trash it. Right now it is in refurbish mode. My dad's 102 also brings back memories of him when I am on it. Of course my favorite is my current go to machine, a 2084 that does it all. There are still two more cubs here that are being either worked on or waiting to be and they are a 2072 and a 149. So many cubs, so many memories and so many more to come.

I've had my 108 for 35 years. It's my favorite because it's served me so well all these years.

Here is the order of my likes:
1X6/7 series 1X4/5 series original quietline 70/100 82 series 122/123 series 1X8/9 <-- never much cared for the look of the seat forward of these models (just my opinion, not meant to offend in any way. I love the look of the so called "zig zag" tractors and some dislike them, and that's ok.)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
