Some more pictures as I did some repairs and tuned it up:
Seat and fenders off for examination ![]() After a good power washing to remove the layers of grime. ![]() Sorry this is blurry but you can see the slots wore in the trunnion. I repaired this by welding on a strip of steel. ![]() Shot of the brakes, they look new. ![]() When a Golden goes nuts over a apple! That's Maggie! ![]() Deck was real good for the age. No holes, no patches! ![]() ![]() This is the crows foot wrench I built to get behind the steering column and tighten the nut for the shift lever. Doesn't look pretty but it worked! ![]() Just a glamor shot. ![]() Seeing double? The new one is on the right. ![]() Regards, Chris

The one on the left is a 127 also. I purchased this awhile ago from my aunt, so its a family tractor. Has manual lift, and sleeve hitch. Eric rebuilt the engine and painted it a few years ago. I have been using it to mow the 4 acres.
Regards, Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
