Thanks mike, I think I will leave it mostly original for now and use it as is, but I'm not 100% sure.

I put on another coat of rust converter yesterday, that makes 2 coats, I think that's enough. Should hold up well when I use it.

Update: I fixed the rotted tailgate today. Now the other side will be filled in with jb weld and filed down.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
