Only one pad slides on it. The other one stays still. Clean it up, it's still good.

IROC,
This one worked great after cleaning and a new filter. These hydro's are some tough sob's.

Jonathan
That picture was of my 1211 right after I got it running. The hy-tran looked good on the dipstick before it got mixed up and I wanted to get it running to know what I actually had before I spent any more money on it. Got it running and backed out of the garage and it just stopped moving. When I pulled the dipstick again I thought my hydro was probably ruined, but it wasn't. I think it had been outside it's most of it's life. The 125 in my avatar has had the same hy-tran for almost 10 years and it looks like the day I put it in, because that one is only outside in good weather.

10 years, I'll bet when you pull the cover you will finds globs from the Hy-Tran. You'll wish you had changed it sooner.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
