You might be right there Sam, I have a couple weeks to decide what I'm gonna do since I'm headed outa town for work. If I can get the engine to run decent then i could begin to look at it's other problems. Oh BTW 1457 hours.

Kinda glad you are not saying it's all mint. I saw that rig on craigs and it was 30 minutes from my house. I am not too familiar with the supers and especially the kubotas so I fired up only cub cadets to look for known problems... I saw your post/excitement and link to the same cub and figured I would let that one go. I have 2 fresh basket cases and an 1811 bought this summer I need to go thru anyway
heck if the rear tires are new as the post claimed, those the weights and the chains could get most of your money back good luck

I wouldn't consider them new. Lol. But u r right, chains new r over 100$. I am happy with the purchase even in this condition. I need to spend some time with the tractor to find out what I've really got. High on priority list, compression test.

The fact that it drove onto the trailer under it's own power tells me that the important stuff works. Carbs on them are fairly easy to work on. I see it's missing one of the bolts for the exhaust manifold, no big deal. For some reason Kubota puts studs on the bottom and bolts on the top of the exhaust manifolds.

Look at it his way. If it was in decent shape it would either have been listed for a lot more money or snatched up while you were scratching your head about it.

Thanks for the comments guys. Sam I will have to look closer at the manifold, I know it was swinging in the breeze lol.
I would have picked it up on the first day I saw it, but had to work, and it is almost 2 hours one way from me. My plan is to get it running right mechanically then run it, but I'm gonna take my time and try to do it fairly cost effective if it's possible. One of the OCC contributors is gonna sell me some cyclops plastic panels that are in good shape for a good price so it has already begun. Lol. Let's do this.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
