Allen,
Just ignore the idiot and keep moving forward. You're more than welcome to hang out here as we enjoy your company. You just keep doing what YOU want to do. You still get seat time and Jenn is your extra set of eyes.

If you must say something to the idiot, just say "Oh, That's Nice" , smile and walk away. ( I'll post the joke so you know the whole meaning of the punchline. It's a private joke punchline my wife and I will say when the time is right )

Jeff

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two ladies are waiting in line and the one lady starts bragging about the jewelry she's wearing.
" My husband bought me these diamond ear rings for my birthday"
The other lady said "Oh, That's Nice"
" For our anniversary he got me this diamond tennis bracelet "
The other lady said "Oh, That's Nice"
" For Christmas he got me this diamond pendant"
The other lady said "Oh, That's Nice"
You don't seem to have any nice jewelry, what has your husband done for you?
The other lady said "He got me etiquette lessons"
"Etiquette lessons? What kind of lame gift is that?"
The other lady said " Before when stupid people annoyed me, I tell them to go themselves. Now I just say Oh, That's Nice"
Alright Allen, don't let one idiot run you away from Cubs. I've always enjoyed talking with you and seeing all your posts/pics about your cubs. When I first started surfing this website, seeing how friendly the Mods/members were made me decide to join. You were always the one to comment positively on ALL posts made by members, old and new. It's been good having a friendship with you here via the forum. I was saddened to hear when you decided to step down as a Moderator, but understood your reasons. From one friend to another, don't let this troll run you out of Cubs. You'll have idiots anywhere you go, on any forum who like to belittle others with their "know it all attitudes". Of course they do it hiding behind a keyboard like a coward. Choose to rise above and keep your chin up. If you want to talk, feel free to holler my way. Sounds like Jenn's got your back, too. Hang it there!!
Guys, I read all the comments and appreciate all of you! I'm going to stay around! I was always taught to treat people, the way you want to be treated. I always did that with everyone here, and will continue to do so. Again, Jenn and I appreciate all of you!
Allen, not only are you tremendously kind and positive, but you have a significant other who has your back and is willing to help you enjoy your hobby despite your troubles. Plus, you finally got that sweet 982! What better than having a great machine and someone to share it with. It's too good a thing to let outsiders mess with. All the best!
Thanks Ian!
I want to add, it wasn't on any other cub forum, it was on Facebook. Normally, I don't let stuff bother me, but this was below the belt.
Allen, Allen, Allen, pull up those shorts and roll up those sleeves and go back to wherever you got the response from the needle dick and give him a taste of reality. Call him out! Make him into the biggest ahole on the Facebook page.
Tell him, listen dick weed, I enjoy this hobby for where it takes me away from my everyday physical disadvantages, it and the people are great, and it let's me feel (normal) without the real life limitations... for a little while, and you want me to throw that away because I need help. He's the one that needs help...
I can sympathize, I've got a few issues myself, but I'd be damned if I'd let some dirt on the bottom of my shoes ruin something I enjoy... Not that it matters, but I need help getting on my GT's, so you're ahead of me, you can do that by yourself
Seriously Allen, don't let the actions of this onion head get you down.
So my advice to you my friend. Don't sweat the petty things, just pet the sweaty things. Head high, shoulders back, and drive the wheels off that 982.
Glad you are staying on, Allen. You just can't condemn yourself, your passion for Cub Cadets and your social interactions with other fellow Cub Cadet members because of the actions of the few. I'd rather that all good folks in the Cub Cadet community condemn the idiot.
Allen, everyone has pretty much said and covered everything. It's sad that adults have to act like 5th graders. I for one believe that if you love something you shouldn't let anyone have a say so on whether or not you can do it.
You know the saying "sticks and stones...". Well, you know and I know it's not true, words do hurt. Anyone who would say anything like that is just showing their ignorance and they need to get their dumb @$$ checked.
Allen, keep on keeping on! Several members here have challenges but we all work around and through them. My 16 year old son is my helper when I come upon a challenge to great for me.
The only thing I can add to this thread would be, Allen, your words of encouragement, your positive attitude, your obvious love for your fellow human being and your passion for cubs shines above anything anyone with a negative attitude can say! Live on and upward my friend!
Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
