Seems like alot of you guys would like this ithing... but unfortunately none of you are close enough to come get it... but Im sure once its fixed up somebody local will take it off my hands. I wouldnt keep a tractor like this for myself, Im not a fan of hydrostatic trannys and especially when they dont have foot controls, I'd be more inclined to keep the 126 if I could actually make use of it.... but it would likely just be another ornament taking up space in the shop.
Im gonna check with my local Auto Value today to see if he can get the Moog kit to replace the 1450 engine mounts, might have to wait a few days but it would save me a trip to Calgary... I hate going into the city!!!

Yup, dual stick is always a nice "head on the wall" to have. Cant argue with the Moog kit. little stiff for my choice so i try to use the old top mounts on the bottom and the new moogs on the top. but either works.

I was thinking the the old oem top rubbers might not last very long if they were re-installed on the bottom so I ordered two Moog kits, idea being less movement of the engine should equal less stress to the rag joint.
The dual stick option doesnt add much value without having the snowplow to go with it, and so far I havent been able to find one of those. Still looking tho

Hydraulic powered snow plow for a QL? Good luck with that, I'm still looking for few years in Canada, I don't even find a manual one in good condition I can mod to hydraulic in my neck of the wood.
The OEM top ISO may last only if they are in good condition and you did the cradle mod. Using all Moog can't be worse then using solid mount but it's nothing compare to riding a old Shovel head

Lol... havent been on a shovelhead in years, thats was probably what rattled all my teeth out.
I looked over a couple threads about that cradle mod, good plan for a pulling tractor with a clutch but I dont think theres much need for it on a hydrostatic lawn mower.

Working on wiring issues today, bad connection and a missing fuse, and a lack of headlights.

The cradle mod is a sure bet! With this mount system one side can loosen then you are adding more stress to the weak aluminum oil pan and wearing that out. The QL is a good model.

Is it normal for only one hydraulic line to go all the way to the front of the frame?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
