Delta & Old Skull.

I looked up the RAL chart and there looks to be quite a difference between the 1013 Oyster White that I used and the 1015 Ivory that Delta used. Looking at Delta's pictures and they looked really close to mine. It would be nice to see actual side x side comparisons of finished painted parts.

If my painter had shown me the 1015 I would have likely said No Way, that leans too much toward a light tan.

The charts are not very representative of the actual finish.

You absolutely cannot make a color comparison by looking at a computer screen, depending on how your monitor is adjusted it could change the color several shades compared to how it looks in person.

When I took the "72" wheels and hood to be powder coated I had a piece that Tim (Olds45512) painted for me to compare. The Powder coater guy had just finished a pair of wheels for some antique car in that color. Like I said before, it is slightly different than the IH 935 but it is close and I like it!

Tim - The Master of Paint.

Does side by side pictures in the same light setting give a better comparison to determine color tint?

If so, I have a few that compare a newly made part that I fabricated and had painted the 1013 Oyster White sitting next to and/or on original CC components.

The tint doesn't look quite the same as the original part from my 95e. It does look really good when comparing to the hood of my 149 as well as the deck and the snow thrower.

Photography is another of my serious "hobby", I got an expensive LCD screen my friend calibrate with his Spyder5 studio kit, he is pretty good for photo editing but I will never trust it for images picked on the internet! Change the light condition or the camera or the editing software used and the result is totally different each time. I trust only the OP eyes since he is the one who have seen both pieces side by side. I just hope the guy is not color blind! LMAO

An update on the 1650....Not too much progress to report.. New tires from Miller and TSC. I used acrylic enamel from API which looks fabulous. It was disassembled and sandblasted (not engine transmission/axle) This will be for show only. I have installed new bearings and seals in the axle final drives and it will get the customary cork gasket and rear cover plate gasket too. The dump valves will be sent to Machtech for rebuilding and new seals will be installed in hydro pump. BTW, the trunnion has been repaired...sorry no pic at this time. The engine will be rebuilt too but not till I get some other projects finished. My Cub House is a mess right now...YIKES! Fun projects

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
