The lift handle is not cut, missing or broken. It was an electric lift machine. If you don't want to find and replace the e-lift, find a manual lift arm for it. It's the least of your worries if you buy that tractor. It's not that big a deal. Good news is, you will be able to sell the e-lift shaft and get back the money you spent on the manual one.

It’s a shame the only cub dealer in our area has closed up shop. They have been there for as long as I remember. I remember going there with my grandfather as a kid.
I would like to check it out, unfortunately I don’t think it’s in the cards this weekend for me.

I did however pick up the 127 today and got it into the shop. He also had a whole spare lift assembly which he gave me. The wire harness appears to all be there, it does need a little work though.
5 minutes after I get to the shop, my boss prints out the entire blue ribbon service manual for me.
Can’t wait to see if it fires up!

I should be able to tell you this afternoon. Brought the starter generator into the local electric shop, it was trashed and he said it’s cheaper to buy a new one. So I picked it up today and the front cover was backwards, so it wouldn’t fit on the tensioner arm. He is currently correcting that problem. In the mean time, I have changed oil, replaced spark plug, set timing, cleaned the carburetor, drained the old fuel, verified that the wiring is correct and fixed the ignition switch ( which was in 4 different parts and missing a spring. Fingers crossed!
