Not without changing the center pulley, idler pulleys, and belt. You need to look for 82 series tractors. Basically anything that has the same body style as your 782D.

You have a PM. That's not far at all. I go dirt biking down near there on occasion.

My next question pertains to a plow.

Now the decks are a little more specific with A versus C models but does any wideframe plow fit the 82 series?

Yes. There is a slightly different lift bracket for the 82 series, but I don't think it makes a difference, other than the length of the lift rod, which you'll have to make anyway.

Well I have a full out shop with all the fixings (plasma, migs, drill presses, etc) in my garage, just none of it is setup yet as I just moved.

I got no problem fabbing some stuff up, it's just plate then i can weld it together.

Thanks for all the help and sorry if I'm being a pain or seem like I'm just trolling for information. I'm so excited to get this 782D going and use it this winter.

I was kicking myself in the butt when my old man sold his JD420 with the 20hp Onan motor with all attachments and the cab, I should have bought it for 4k.

Ohh well live and learn.

I think your inbox is full I tried sending some Private Messages but they don't show up in my sent box.

As far as the deck goes I definately want it, so long as it's in working condition. Does it come with some of the hookup linkage etc.? I am afraid I am missing some on the cub I was given, par to of it being free.

Regardless of the linkage I'll probably end up getting the deck from you anyways. I'm a short drive away, in Dayton, OH and I go out that way to Haspin Acres to ride dirtbikes so I could come out Friday/Sat and pick it up.

let me know.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
