I call him back.
Tell him that’s not a 71, probably a 61. I can take it off his hands and find him a 71 though.

Thanks Nate. It was a labor of love. Don't think I would do another to that much detail. Just a LOT of work for what? Then it just sits there...
But then again, that one you posted pictures of, just may make me think otherwise.

I replaced the sediment bowl gasket that's had my 124 out of commission since early May.

Default Throttle shaft bushing, and brake repair.

My 108 has been in need of brakes and the throttle shaft repaired. This tractor is my spray tractor with a 15 gal. spray tank mounted on the back. I got tired of running into things unable to stop. Ordered some brake lining and a few bushings from McMaster-Carr. Got the bushing in today, tuned the carb in and sure runs much better. Got the linings glued on so tomorrow I should have brakes.

What did I do with my Cubs today? Just stood there looking at them with a big smile on my face!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
