thanks for all the compliments. I started rebuilding it when our daughter was pregnant for our first "grandson" (good excuse, huh). All the wives tales pointed to a boy but the day she went to find out the sex she called me and told me I better paint it pink. We now have a beautiful 5 month old granddaughter. I got her a scale model pedal tractor for now until she is old enough for the cub cadet. Check out the picture of her. Thanks again for the compliments

this OT brand tractor has to be included as it belongs to my 10 year old grandson and he works the wheels off it!He wants to restore it so he can take it to the tractor shows and pulls with Pepe and have "his own machine"He does most of his own work on it, We are looking for a cub for him now but he visits here with me often so I got to post "His Machine"for now
this is my model 70 that Christian (my grandson) and I will be restoring soon from the ground up it will be both our first restoration attempts I'm hoping we can use it both for stock class pulling and tractor meets like plow days etc.if I can find some local events.I hang on to stuff a long time so this tractor will eventually become Chris's when I can no longer enjoy it. we also have a 682 which I will post pics of as soon as i get some I was given the 682 by the inlaws after they blew the motor in it.I'm repowering it now with a 16 HP brigs. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
