Last night I got the front out puts replaced on the 1650. No more leaking hy-tran on the floor! I got the air gap on the 1650 set as well. I've got to get my new mule drive setup installed so I can start tilling the garden. No pics of this time. I was greasy when I noticed I didn't have the camera with me.

I told Evan that the 1650 was ready for the show down with the 1864! He couldn't stop talking about racing them tonight after school. Should be fun! I'll get my wife to snap some pics.

Finally put a tube in the left front tire on the 3235. I got tired of pumping it up everytime I had to use it.

Took the jack out to the shed. Jacked up the 2084 and removed the front wheel. Took that to the garage and pumped it up and returned to the shed remounted the wheel. I then drove to the garage and removed the snow blower and chains and took the tractor back to the shed. I need a tube for that durn front wheel. That trick is getting old of removing it and pumping it up and putting back on.

Default 123 seat time

First mow of the year!

Took about 1.5 hours and it was a heavy cut, but the 123 ran great. Yeah, it needs brakes, and the hydro control is a bit wonky, and it turns tighter in one direction than the other, BUT it started up in half a second, never missed a beat and cut fine.

The other fixes will come in due time. (I REALLY need some brakes!)

HE- HE- HE Sure felt good getting some seat time. That's the first work I've done with the 782 since the briggs repower, and it worked really good. Before I could do any grading I had to make a lift rod for the 782 since that was the first time I had put the blade on the 782. Shown below is the white adjustable one I had made for the 149 and the red one for the782. The one for 782 had to have a slight bow in it to clear the spread frame. Before I made the new rod I pulled the tractor's front tires up on two 2x4 blocks so I could measure the rod,and so I could get some added down pressure on the blade once done.

Now THAT is a great picture! 782 is look'n SWEEET!! Good job on the lift rod, looks good red, something different. I agree though, you look like your WAY too relaxed. I think you were enjoying yourself that day. Rough job working with gravel and the 782 made it that much more enjoyable. Now all we need is a group picture of the 782 & the 149!

Look'n good as usual Diz. Gonna have to get you over to do my drive this year. I am pretty sure I will be getting some crushed stone in for it. Sick of the wife about how she gets her shoes muddy every time she goes to her car. One of these days I think I am going to loose it with her and I'll just have to go buy me another CUB!
Besides, I am getting sick of the stones that are the perfect size to fly through the snow blower. Over half of my drive is about 1 to 2 inch stones that are not packed down good enough and tend to end up on the lawn more often than I want. I figure get some nice crushed stone like on a ball diamond, level it out nice and wet it down and roll the heck out of it, that should make a nice hard packed drive. I worked for the old man, hopefully it will for me? So I might be looking for guys with some grading experience and their cubs!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
