Yesterday I hooked up the 50C on the 982, greased it. Nothing like mowing with a super!

After waxing it.

Today I cleaned up the grease from the steering spindels and re-greased all the tractor.

Next I washed the tractor up.

Next I set up the tandem disk harrow correctly I had got from Wildbill about 3 years ago.

I was mowing the yard with the 1864 today and saw my neighbor using his cub front tine tiller in his garden so I went and got the 1650 and let him till the easy way.

I don't think he thought about his Deere once. He had lots of great things say about the old 1650 w/ model 1A. He loved how the only thing he had to worry about is how fast he was moving. And when he asked if he could use it again next weekend I said sure any time! His Deere was hiding in the garage while the work was getting done!

This is the fella that told me I should trade in all my cubs for a new Deere. I don't think he feels the same about my old cubs any more.

Got to love my wife she takes pics of our neighbor using the 1650 but no pics of me mowing the grass with the 1864.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
