Great video Todd!! Thanks for taking the time to make it for us!

I don't think Kohler ever built a slicker better balanced engine than the 7hp. Every one I ever had ran great... even the worn out turds!

Should make a great chore tractor for sure!!

I'd just be scared I'd scratch it!

Just can't believe how slow our upload speed is, terrible.
Your right, these little Kohler's run so nice.
Your last sentence reminded me of when I was young, my grandfather bought a brand new American drag-line and had it delivered to the job sight. After everyone walked around it admiring the new iron, my grandpa told the operator at the time to get to work and make some money with it. The job was digging a pond and he had to navigate through a crap load of brush and smaller trees.
The operator said something like, you want me to take it through there? It'll get all scratched to hell. Where my gramp's said, "I DIDN'T BUY IT TO LOOK AT".
Now don't think we'll be running through the brush, but it'll be fine using it pulling a trailer, and light work If the woman wants to really work one there's others to choose...

It didn't sound like that motor made (1) full revolution, before it fired! Great job.

Smooth too!

Neat story Todd!!
My grandfather used to say something very similar.. He used to say " well I aint gonna abuse it, but I sure didn't buy it to look at! If its gonna be round here its gotta earn its keep!"

Fond memories!

Keep up the good work!

Very much appreciated guys
Today's progress. Hood installed as well as the headlights. (signed inside of one headlight so in another 54 years when someone takes it apart they'll know who did it)
Also cleaned up a carburetor and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it's correct to this tractor? Number on the top of the carb where it bolts to the engine is, 3409S. It's a Carter Model N. Inside throttle butterfly is a number
2-127. And there's one more number on top 144... Also has the choke lever that has "choke" written on it, any help appreciated.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
