I finally decided to fix one of the many broken CCC emblems I have and install it on the 1050. Now that I see it on there I realize how bad the headlight panel looks, hopefully I can find time to remove it and hit it with some black paint.

The 1050 was a one model year only tractor and this one is all original except for the wheels and tires but I have the originals in the shed. I'd like to leave it original as possible but the temptation to paint it is always there.

Ah.. now I see what your faced with... yes tough tough decisions there with that one. Now that you educated me on the 1050 some I understand.... never knew that the 1050 was a one year tractor.

Mocking up power steering on a 1650 for possible installation and to see what's needed on the 149 w/DanCo loader project.

They were made in 1989 only and I read somewhere that there were less than 3,000 made but it don't know how accurate that info is. They have a rubber mounted engine but use a completely different setup then all the other rubber mounted Cub's, my 1050 is the smoothest single cylinder I have.

Here's a nice one on Craigslist if you want one for yourself.

Looks good Tim! That series tractor has always looked odd to me with nothing between the headlights.. The either need the IH or CCC emblem to make them look complete!

Looks good, but how did you get it to stick to the ceiling?

Default Spider Cub

Ha, my first time to post a photo. Strange thing is it is in the correct orientation on my computer and somehow flipped when uploading it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
