Thats awesome Vince!
I used the 71 to haul out some plants for the garden. I also watered them using the wagon cart with 6 ,5gal. buckets. Its been dry here. So I'am thinking I will soon have a 55gal. plastic barrel go in the IH # 2 cart, spicket the bottom of the barrel and use that as my water wagon. This friday / weekend I'll fire that project. ![]() I had to break down and show this one. I smeared more primer sealer on my model 72 this morning. Gosh was it ever a great day for morning / day for catching up! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Evan nad I was having another go at racing around the yard yesterday and we had a slip up! Mom and little sis came out side to play on the play set and I hollered at Evan to slow down and he hit the brakes on the 1864 in the turn and I couldn't get the 1650 stopped in time.

Well I finally got to mow the yard with the 1711 this weekend. It mowed great. I finished up and went in to get a drink and hook up the yard sweeper and start doing that. Sat down to start the engine and it just turned, without wanting to start. I pulled the plugs and could smell that I was getting fuel. Checked for spark, and saw absolutely nothing. I got out the KT17 service manual and figured I would check the coil. Was supposed to get 4 to 5 ohms resistance with meter set at Rx1k and the probes touching the + and - posts. I got 3. Then I checked secondary resistance at the high tension lead posts. With the meter set to Rx100k I should have seen, 9,500 to 11,500 ohms resistance. The needle pegged zero. Oh well, new coil and plug wires ordered, will be here in the morning. Just to have it on and know it is new, I'll get a new fuel pump next and that should have most everything new and updated. I did purchase new points and condenser, but when I pulled the cover the points were brand new and the timing was set perfectly. The condenser checked out good also, as it too was new.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
