So... I have been working away from home on 7 12s for the past couple months which doesn't leave much time, none, to work on my projects. I hope to get back at it again soon!

Just found out though that the 1811's mower deck is only cutting on one side. I haven't been able to check it out myself (see above) but I want to go ahead and order new belts that I can install when I get back. Anyone know what I will need to order for a 44 inch deck?

Should be able to look up the part number on Cub Cadets web site. Look under parts and service.

Yes, this is correct. Look up the parts yourself. Very easy to do. Follow the prompts.

If it is only cutting on one side, you better look before you order parts. No way that the blade on only one side is spinning. Check to see that you (or whoever) didn't install a blade upside down. Also make sure all the blade spindles will turn by hand (engine off). If the deck drive belt was broken, the center blade would be the only one spinning, not an outside one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
