I enjoy helping others and I have had my share of help from the guys on this site. That’s what makes OCC so good. I’m just looking forward to seeing CubNubs 782 back up and running.

Had some time this weekend to fiddle with the 782 and I got the drive shaft hooked up to the Briggs with the help of Sam Mac. Started to rewire it and boy am I in trouble. I got a diagram from Roland but I'm real confused as the colors of the diagram and what I actually have don't match. Has anyone done the Briggs repower and rewire job?

The shaft looks good, glad to help. Suggest that you get in touch with Roland with the serial and model numbers for both the engine and the tractor. Shouldn't be too hard to figure it out. If I recall your putting a Briggs from a 582 into a 782

Thanks guys. Roland hooked me up with a diagram and I attempted it but I'm not getting any action, not even lights. This is the diagram he gave me

Tony send it to my e-mail and I'll take a look at it. Roland sends his drawings as a bitmap (.bmp) and they don't load well on the OCC site because of the size.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
