I'm definitely looking forward to pushing some snow... I enjoy it. The 1000 ate through a few fairly deep ones last year, like it wasn't even there. Here's a pic from last year, with the blade, assist spring, chains and weights I got from Mike.
She's in the shop at the moment getting the clutch re-done, but here in a week or two, the winter gear will go back on. We actually got a couple of inches here last night, but it mostly melted after sun-up. Josh [IMG] ![]() |

This happens very rarely around here these days:
![]() Some think it is pretty but I don't like cold. Getting old I guess. Back in the 50s and 60s we had snow like this every winter all winter. Now, thankfully, it is a rare event. I got 2 4 wheel drive vehicles, a tracked snow blower and blades on several tractors to deal with it. I'm glad when I don't have to use them. Used to loose power until I got a big generator to deal with it. Now don't loose it as much. The same with snow, be ready for it and it don't happen. ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
