From what I can figure is I will need the original pipes off of a valve and partway down add longer hose to the front, then the quick connectors. Does that sound like the best plan? Should I be looking on ebay for some used pipes, or buy some new ones at $65.00 apiece? Am I be better off bending new pipe all of the way to the front? I wish I could find the premade parts so I could just do a bolt in,(I love pre bent pipe) but I don't think that will happen. Just some random thought while I wait for parts! Don

Look at this stuff! Could I make some of this stuff work? Or not!

This looks like the right pipe to valve body I need
These should work but you will probably need to extend them to reach the front.

Like I said before I am not doing this conversion myself nor have I ever seen one in person. I have no need for front hydraulics on my Cubs. Reading the manual for the Cyclops front hydraulic kit it only shows 1 of these adapters needed. The adapter goes between your existing valve and the valve being added allowing the fluid to flow from the existing valve into the new valve. I think the bigger issue for those of you will be the hoses. That said this is the list of members that have expressed interest in the adapters and the quantity they have told me they want. Let me know if you wish to change the amount.

Yep, I am still in for 2. Yes, I only need one for the current project but at the price we are talking, I figure it's worth having a second one. You never know when another project will come up. There are also 2 other cyclops in the extended family and they may need one in the future. Thanks Sam.

I bought used hoses from one of the site sponsors. Used the metal flare portion and had new hoses of correct length attached.

I'd like to see some pics of the hoses when you get a second.

Thanks

I now know why these valves are going so quick on eBay!!! You need to use the O-rings and the backer rings. The backers will keep the O-rings from blowing by and leaking everywhere. For us non-Cyclops fellows, and Cyclops owners alike, these valves are machineable. Make sure to fully disassemble the valve before drilling and tapping, and make sure it is clean and free of burrs before reassembling the valve. From the looks of it, at least on the 2082's dash and tower that I have, three valves can be added to the Cyclops, and more on a custom build. The only problem is once you start paying $50+ a valve, the Greene H3 valves start looking like a better solution, at least for custom applications.

Got my valve from one of the sponsors. Now I am looking at having a local shop make some custom hydraulic hoses up. Does anyone know what the name of connection into these valves is called?

Thanks!

Pretty sure they are called "Cub has you by the you know what's fittings". I looked through my Aeroquip and Parker catalogs and can't find anything like what Cub used.

Just an update the machine shop is making those adapters for you guys, I'll keep you posted.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
