Well, I have been a fan of professional football since I was a kid. 1985-1993 the Cleveland Browns were an ok team, but always choked, and after 15 years returned as an expansion team, the Browns just fall flat on their face each and every gosh-darn time, you can bet your life on it! I've spent the money at the games, I bought all the shirts and hats, and year after year, its the same ol' same ol'! Just not much of a fan of losing all this time. These days I can leave it rather than take it.

I like Nascar, don't get me wrong. And Chevy still, and always will dominate! I liked Mike Waltrip up until he went with that darn Toyota crap. But its like watching basketball...."Oh boy! He put the ball in the net AGAIN"! , compared with driving around in circles. I prefer the 1/4 drags. Much more exciting than much of anything else. But, if it weren't so cold out, you can bet I would be out in the shop working on a IH Cub Cadet, or meaningful project around the house.

Don't like no Hollywood movie star, or t.v . Only shows I watch is the weather, Andy Griffith Show, and The Big Bang Thereory. Lost too much life in front of the t.v I can't get back. That's all these kids do these days is sit in front of the darn t.v .

There, now I feel better too! :raise my coffee mug:

Let me put it this way, it's all about the money. A good Na$car team sponsorship runs over $20,000,000 per year, Hendrick has 4 of them this is his little boat called "Wheels"

Back in the day when the good ole boys started if you didn't place you weren't paid, different now days. But it's still much more of a sport than any ball game would ever be. These ball players take a week off if they get a hang nail, where the Nascar drivers (old school) drove 400 miles with broken bones. I remember Earnhardt driving with a broken sternum.
None of these guys complain about contract negotiations. Unlike these over paid whooses who play a game. Remember in school, you went outside to play a game? Of..... football, basketball, baseball, there a game, nothing more.
Any of these so called athletes wouldn't last in a car for 200 miles let alone 500 or 600 miles. So yah, let the season begin!
What "professional" sport today isn't about the money? As I wrote, "when the good ole boys started if you didn't place you weren't paid, different now days", referring to the early years.
And making the comparison of ball players, to the drivers, or no comparison. I'm not going to beat this any further, your right, it's all about the money.

I used to go to a couple of Nascars races a year and watch some on T.V., but since Brian France took over Nascar, he is running Nascar down hill fast. Have not been to any races in 3yrs and only watch a couple on T.V. If I want to watch real racing, I prefer to go to the local short track, instead of watching some clone cars go round and round.

I love Nascar. Ya, it's all about money now days and then there are the super teams like Hendrick, JGR & Roush but that is how all sports are now. I too was a Dale Sr. fan and the sport has changed a lot since he passed. It is still a pretty good sport but I will admit that I DVR most races and speed up through the dry parts. I don't have a problem with Toyota either, they have their problems too. Dodge didn't last again but about 11 or 12 years and they are done again. I liked the small teams and my favorite driver was Robby Gordon because he was an owner/driver and I knew he would never win but I pulled for him every week. When I moved to Georgia in 1993 a buddy took me to Talladega and I was hooked on super speedways. For many years we would go there, nothing like standing up against the fence with a b.i.h. and a group of cars blow by at 200 mph, camping out for 3 days and tailgating with a bunch of good people or seeing old school buses painted black with a big #3 painted on them. I am looking forward to this years season and hope it is a good one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
