Wow......

That is a really tough thing to debate without getting political, and just down right "USA" on you. I'm not sure how old you are bud, but you better go back and read your history books again. Life, in the US anyway, was far better then, than now. On an economical, political, manufacturing, overall wealth and prosperity...... just everything. The statement you made sounds like a "new generational" way of thinking. How could it have been better without all this "technology" right? ........ LOL. Well..... it was.

All I can say is:

Shotgun

like I said I don't give a crap what you do with your $$$. It's your $$$. If your happy with the new stuff I'm all good with that. Some of us are into old stuff and some just want to put gas into it and do what they want to do. That's what makes the world go round. What ever floats your boat.

I have about $3000.00 into each of these and I think they will easily out last my sorry old butt. Trust me I'm not trying to change your mind. Be Happy, happy, happy. Old Cub or new Cub it's a good thing.

OK Guys this thread has gotten out of control. It started as a notice about Cub's latest and greatest and has morphed into rant after rant. Thread is now closed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
