Rear pto is worth $800, 3pt is worth $600.

I guess this one of those things where it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. I know I would never pay $600 for a 3pt when I can buy a new one from Xtreme for $472.

I will get some more pics when I get home if it's not too late.

I see you also have a 1512. All I can think is 982D.

Xtreme doesn't make the correct hitch yet. Aaron does awesome work but on a super I will take the Ruegg hitch + it is cheaper then the Xtreme GT hitch.

I forgot that the Xtreme 3pt doesn't work with rear PTO. I'm wondering if Ruegg is still making 3pt's? I tried to call them a few times and I also sent 2 emails and could never get ahold of them. This was last summer.

Edit: Just talked to Bill Ruegg. He still makes them. The price is $480 w/ $37 shipping. pic below of said 3pt.

I agree with Grampie..the 982 is a beast.Mine has a headache right now...but hope to have it lifting again soon..3-5" of snow on its way here this week end..
You got a great deal, and you will fall in love with that 982/Onan..Once you get the bugs worked out.

That 3 point does look like it's well built. I have always wanted a red Cub cadet, but they don't come up often around here complete, so when this one came up I jumped on it. This is also my first Onan, I've heard when they run good they are hard to beat, but when they run bad they are hard to straighten out.
I forgot, to answer your question Steve it has the cast iron rear, and I doubt I could part out my 1512, but there are other options I could take, I would kill to have a 982D. Oh and here is a new seat pic.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
