Guys:
IF.....you want to mount these in the existing dash mounting hole, it has to be a Tach that is 2" in diameter. The last 3 mentioned, were 3-3/8". ![]() Interesting...The Durite 0-525-10 Tach would be a perfect match... IF it were available here in the USA.

I get these will work for the stator charges QL and up, but will they work on the S/G machines? I read one guy took the signal wire and wrapped it around the plug wire to make an inductive pickup, and it worked.

This is the one I am looking at....it states for 4,5,6, and 8, I beleive. But it can be programmed with dipswitches to work with the correct Hertz and has a poteniometer to adjust alittle closer. It recieves signal via W connection on Alternator, in our case, the stator.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
