When I did the 1772, I bought this stuff of of Amazon. Overkill for the tractor, but I plan to add a couple batteries to my 5th wheel. So I will use it there as well.

[QUOTE=zippy1;361803]Thanks guys, but the big job comes up tomorrow. I need to pressure wash the tractor outside in 30 degree weather, not looking forward to that... "

It was about the same temp when I power washed mine burr I went down to the farm store and got some heavy duty rain gear, some insulated rubber gloves and a clear face shield, it really helped and turned out to be not to bad of a job well considering it was winter and did I say cold.

Alright, new positive cable it is.
Sam, I talked with Travis last week and he mentioned the shroud between the engine and firewall. I've got some plastic edging used for landscaping, was thinking about trying that before buying something. We'll see.
Well I got the tractor pressure washed today, it was a balmy 34* when I started... Just about the coldest washing expedition I've been on...
And my helper...

Todd,
You look cold.

I did that today and it was 34 degrees,I went to the self serve car wash to get the greasiest stuff off the 104,washed the truck too,why make a mess at home?

The 104 looks cleaner though and so does your 1872.

Dog is smarter than you think.

You are one hard core restorer, that's all I can say! Tell me you had it about 70 deg in the shop so you could warm back up!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
