Ok so what's the next step? How do I check to see if there is a regulator?

you'll need a pressure gauge to hook into the pressure side to read what its doing. not sure what you have close by but northern tool carries them.

I know nothing about this setup but just thought I would throw this out, is there a filter in this setup and can it be stopped up?

Remove the line (hose) off the valve and install a 2000 or 2500psi gauge. Run the machine and just crack the valve (barely move the lever). Read the gauge.


Yes, there is a filter. It's inside the reservoir. Or at least, it' supposed to be.

The whole bolt u pointed to? If so yes its in there. And yes the filter is in the tank.

Now at the end of the bolt "regulator" has the 2 rubber seals. And at the end of that there is a screw that screws in to the end. Might that need adjusted?

It would be advisable not to adjust the pressure setting just yet till you ascertain what is the reason the system is not working properly.
As John said, check the pressure first, that should shed some light on the situation.

I understand. Does anyone have a danco loader with this pump/setup? Not sure if others have went through this? I am becoming more familiar with the system but... Still not operating so... Not familiar enough.

Doing some research and sounds like a common problem with this pump? Others say there is a relief valve in the lever? I have not takin that apart but from what I've read sounds like if some dirt gets in there if can fail and not allow the pumps pressure to work? The guy claims he removed the hose from the pump and turned it by hand and it pumps, as does mine. The person replying to his post claims to check the relief valve in the lever before he tries anything else? He also claims that if the pump is broken "toast" them if would leak or wine badly. Again im trying to figure out what should be a simple concept but is turning into a

I've been a heavy equipment mechanic for about 20 years. I owned my own shop from 2002 until 2015. I now run two truck shops for a large company. I have a fleet of about 50 industrial trucks that run tons of hydraulics on them. Before owning my own shop, I worked for Case IH and was certified in the electric and hydraulic systems of the (then brand new) 2300 series combines. I can go on.... but the point here is, I'm pretty sure that if I can handle PFC electronic hydraulic systems in a garbage truck or a combine, I can help you get the incredibly simple system on your tractor to work.

I'm not impressed with the information you are finding on "other" sites. Not many here have had issues with their loader. There was one thread a year or two back.... I believe he had a bad pump.


At this point, I can't be sure that you have the system right. Why don't you go take some real pictures, in the daylight, and far enough away that I can actually see something. Get them posted the right way too so I don't have to rotate them or wrench my neck to look them over.

Second, I get real frustrated really quick when I'm trying to help a "newbie" on here and they are running to 6 other sites and bringing back other stupid peoples ideas. Please don't make me debunk a bunch a redneck BS.

Post some pics. Now, I'm going to be busy working on some of my stuff today, I'll check in when I can.

It is a simple concept..... if you understand hydraulics. Systems don't get simpler than that one.

Oh, and George knoww a lot of stuff too! He is right about not adjusting the regulator valve just yet.


So, you have a gauge and ready to test?? Pics first though.
