Thanks Jeff can't wait.

Tuesday the rest of my parts will be here straight from cub and i can finally rebuild the drive line. 4 new flex discs, all new hardware, 2 couplers, 2 new self aligning bushings and a used pump.

Today i took the 1512 for the local car wash and cleaned all the dirt and grim the best i could. I removed the transmission and pump tonight tomorrow i'll install the used pump and new gasket and get the rear back in the frame.

Well i've gotten As far as i could can without my orders come in this week.
Here are some pictures of the old input shaft and front of my old driveshaft has a nice bend to it.

I got the new Belts installed, New light switch, new head light bulbs, got the used pump in. I also took the time to adjust the brakes and hydro lever.

Finally last it turns out my 1512 is really an 882 with a 1512 hood never checked the serial number till today.

It's a 1512. Even the 782D came with the 882 on the serial number plate. The difference is in the kind code. Looks like you are making good progress. Nice work.

Installing this driveshaft with 4 new flex disc was something that almost broke me but i managed to get it installed with out loosing my cool tonight.

Managed to get the drive line, The hydro system filled and bled the air out. installed most of the body work installed.

I had a little chance to run this tonight it was 10pm so i was able to work the lift and move it forward and backwards in the shed. I can't believe how smooth this thing feels when it's running correct.

Time for an update. It's been a busy year between my day job and my owner personal race cars i've been maintaining and my side job doing equipment maintenance for a local winery / orchard i haven't been that active.

I almost sold the 1512 due to my daily needing an engine but thankfully i was able to scrape the money together and keep my little diesel.

Recently i was having issues with charging and starting, I replaced the ignition switch with an oem kubota one and that solved my starting issues. I replaced the alternator with an aftermarket one and that seems to be just fine as well now.

I believe some of the guys will take the hoses and try to match them up at an autoparts store.

Here's a link to a previous post. You can purchase an upper hose from Kubota meant for the RTV utility vehicle and modify it for your diesel. The lower hose can be replaced with 7/8 " heater hose available from McMaster-Carr.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
