Thats because your a soft ass as apposed to a hardass like me who grew up riding Hogs before I owned a drivers license, & thats why I nickamed my sportster Shaker LoL after I sold my goldwing I restored, I took many road trips from here to northern Indiana to North Carolina & back, I bought this sportster & on my 1st ride home with it asked myself What have I done here? LoL But you know what this bike is so much fun to ride on the back roads I will never look back, rode it up to lake Michigan fully loaded with saddle & trunk bags, tents, tool bags, & backpacks many times, did I miss the Goldwing on those long rides you bet but its just what my dad raised me on a American Heritage 1955 FLH Harley Davidson Panhead.
Its just a family tradition. |

Personally, you can't beat a Panhead engine. Best motor HD ever built. I had a 48 FLH. The first year of the Panhead. My "garage" was our 1 bedroom ground floor apartment living room with tan shag carpet. There was never a drop of oil on it in nearly 3 years of living there.
Never should have sold it.

They had a adjustment for primary chain oil and what was slung off it, was able to drip out of a little "spout" onto the rear chain @ the rear of the primary cover. ----@ least my '56 panhead was that way. ![]() But I'm done, as I have lead this way off topic, sorry!

![]() I test drove a V65 magna after I bought the 750 but after I hit 2nd gear on the 1100 my helmet was choking me so I stuck with the 750 & it had a 6speed gear box. Had a escort radar detector mounted above the guages & when the cops pulled me over for speeding they would always ask whats that? I would say thats my alarm, they would reply whats your alarm for? I would say "speed traps" then they would let me go with a verbal warning LoL. This thread is definitely off topic but who cares lets talk motorcycles, the K301A uses oil so what it still runs geat and doesnt smoke on startup or when hot & doesnt leak oil like my panhead Duke so IDK where its going its a mystery. |

![]() Lesson learn! Never, ever, mention HD in a thread about oil consumption... You always get a Tsunami of story's and headaches.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
