The dealer called this morning to see if they could deliver it today. I said, "let me check with the owner". Told Nancy they are delivering the mower today, you going to be around?
YES! Was the answer. So they showed up 45 minutes later, showed her everything on how to operate it, stayed while she drove it around. Went through everything with her again, then left.
I stayed in the house the whole time. Said to her, if I'm dead by next year, now there's no excuses why you don't know how it operates, and how to check it out before operating...
Not being a dick, just want/need her taking this thing serious. This is a piece of equipment she has to REALLY take care of. I said, I'll do the maintenance, but the pre cutting walk around is her gig...

(Lew) the floor seems grippy as is. Will see how it is when she starts using it next year...

Oh, sure. They can be...... but I've worked on a lot of Bota's. They seem to hold up like no other. The old machines I've worked on just keep going. As of late, they have come a long way in operator comfort, and really improved their controls and operator station. I always thought they were really good tractor, I just never liked them because I thought they were not "user friendly". The controls were spread out all over, nothing was "handy". Now..... WOW! They really jumped up their game. Had to I guess, because they were years behind all the others. Good buddy of mine, and the guy I'm working for, just got a new Kubota tractor last fall. This is the first year for it in the business. I really wondered if I would like it as well as the New Holland he had. I like it far better! Nancy will like hers also. You will like the how she likes it, and how long it will last. I really think you made a good choice.

Todd, shouldn't you have 2' of snow on the ground by now?

That is a very nice looking machine and it will serve her well, I know that was the right choice.

I gots to ask. What is that mounted on the right side of the ROPS that looks like the fuel line is going to?

This ought to be a fun, empowering ride for the Mrs. Just don't challenge her to a race...

It's a "gozinda". The fuel line "gozinda" it.
Have no idea Todd. Good question. Someone will know, not me.
(edit) NO!!! We "shouldn't) have 2' of snow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
