Is that a model 190-308-100 tiller? There were only 3 models made by Cub Cadet to fit the SGT's. The 308, 442 & 356. I don't have a 308 so I'm not sure that is what you have but it looks like one. If it is, it was made by Befco. Here is a link to the parts manual.

Messick's also has some parts available.

Let us know how you make out. A lot of people have been looking for replacement Cat 0, 2000 RPM shafts with no luck over the years.

Default might of gotten lucky...

Oak,
I came across tractorpartsasap.com when doing a search for the yokeshaft late last night and emailed them. They replied back to me this morning that they had one nos. I ordered it, will have to wait and see if it ships. I tried to find out who the previous owner picked it up from, be he can't remember. Worse case scenario, I can whittle a dowel rod down to make an adapter.

Default 308 tiller and 54" blade both mounted

I mounted the tiller tonight. The pto yokeshaft is supposed to be here Friday. I put a bolt through the undercarriage for the haban blade to attach the lift arm so that I don't have to remove it when I am not using it. Guess I could leave the blade on the front for a counter weight when tilling.

I stumbled upon this while searching.

https://store.germanbliss.com/befco-...42-542-150-550

It is for the 2000 rpm version of this.

Keep us posted on the progress.

Default tiller update

Oak,
It was a model 308 made by befco. The yokeshaft came in and I got it installed last night. It appeared that the tines were moving faster than they should, but I tried it out in a spot in the yard and the tractor handled it fine. I won't know until I take the chain cover off and see the gear size. For the 2000 rpm it is supposed to be 9/22 and the basic 540 is 15/16. At least it is working so far and I have a little time before I will have a chance to use it much...unfortunately.

Default new kicks on the front

Just installed some new tri-ribs from Miller. They are pricey, but I am sure they will never wear out. And it does steer nicely.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
